Hi. I’m Andi Levin. This is my blog – where I try to capture a combination of theory, humor, experience, observation, assorted music, other people’s wisdom, and snippets of daily life. One day I hope to do all of this really well, despite T.S. Eliot’s observation ”some editors are failed writers, but so are most writers.”
I am a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and PMP who spends way too much time thinking about project management in the real world; the next generation of internet search; Mark; sunny days; dogs; home improvement projects; and how little progress I’ve made on my never ending todo list.
In a past life I lived and worked in Washington DC, where I tried to be the change I wished to see in the world. Then I realized the only thing I was sure of changing was myself.
Now I’m sort of a geek who mostly lives in the Seattle area (the “other” Washington) – which is an awesome place to live except sometimes in the winter, aka “The Long, Dark, Wet.” (and yes, it’s officially winter here now…)
Lao Tzu wrote “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
Once upon a time I wanted to be a writer, but lost my way when I found technology. Now technology is helping me find my way back. An item on my todo list is to co-write a book about doing hard time in the business world; some of which I may blog on; some of which I already have.
I started this blog to rekindle the writer in me; now sometimes blogging keeps me from reaching another life goal of attaining a better work|life balance.
Ah well. Maybe one day I’ll finally get it right – since life really is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.
